Technical specs of the Techno Metal Post

The Techno Metal Post is a circular, metallic, hollow tubing with a variable diameter ranging from 48.3mm to 14mm and a variable wall thickness on the helical posts from 3.68mm to 5.74mm. A factory-welded helix (one or more) consisting of a diameter from 150mm to 600mm is attached to the base of the screw pilings. Techno Metal Post's helical posts serve directly as the foundation for the structure. The sizes of the helices are determined by the ground bearing capacity (compactness) and the load.

The Techno Metal Post reference standards

The Techno Metal Posts are made of metal according to the ASTM A500 grade C and CAN/CSA - G40.21-97 construction metal standards. The screw pilings are heat galvanized with galvanization rating of at least 610 g/sq.m according to the CSA-G164M-92 standards.

With Techno Metal Post's exclusive polyethylene sheath, the frost will not affect the screw pile. Exclusive to Techno Metal Post, this plastic sheath is made of polyethylene tubing especially designed to cover the helical post's metallic hollow tubing.

Techno Metal Post Quality Assurance

Techno Metal Post's helical screw pilings are manufactured using structural steel according to ASTM A500 grade C, CAN/CSA-G40.21-98 and CSA W47.1 standards.

The screw pilings can be hot-dip galvanized according to CSA-G164M-92, i.e. a minimum of 610 g/m².

They were tested under loading according to ASTM-D1143 and ASTM-D3689 standards in several types of soils around the world.

For each Techno Metal Post, the bearing capacity will be confirmed on site using the installation machinery and in situ test benches when required.
